As part of our preparations for the July 2025 medical camp, we partnered with the Bethany Kids Assistive Technology Specialists to ensure that every child with a disability received a comprehensive assessment and was matched with the most appropriate assistive device.
Providing the correct assistive device is essential to promoting mobility, independence, participation, and overall quality of life. In line with the World Health Organization (WHO) guidance, properly prescribed and fitted assistive products help prevent secondary complications, including pain, pressure injuries, and progressive deformities that may result from the use of inappropriate or poorly fitted devices.
Through this collaboration, we took an important step toward ensuring that every child receives safe, effective, and individualized assistive technology that supports their development and long-term well-being.
